I perceive a great deception that has been cast upon across innocent believers of the world, both in the Catholic Church and mainstream Christianity in general. It comes as no surprise that much of Catholic dogma has little to do with what Yeshua actually taught us, but more about own the preservation of their own cultural (or pagan) traditions. Traditions such as the observance of the Sabbath on Sunday, which was the designated day of pagan sun worship, and the doctrine of salvation through faith alone; which can be seen in their practices of infancy baptism. There is no where in the holy scriptures which designates Shabbat (The Sabbath) as Sunday. Yeshua and his disciples were Jewish. Jewish observation of Saturday as Shabbat has been upheld for thousands of years and Yeshua did not change that.
When we understand that the early church was responsible for this change, we must question their motives for doing so. Why have true believers of Yeshua have been deceived into breaking this commandment? The popular idea is that this is because Yeshua was resurrected on a Sunday. This explanation makes some sense; however, Yeshua tells us that if we love him, then we will keep his commandments.
The fact is that it was Emperor Constantine who decreed that Christians should no longer keep the Sabbath and keep only to Sunday (the latter part of the first day of the week) calling it the "Venerable Day of the Sun". Constantine's edict was the start of many more Christians observing only Sunday and not the Sabbath. The Church Father, Eusebius, who became the bishop of Caesarea Maritima about AD 314, stated that for Christians, "the sabbath had been transferred to Sunday". However the majority of historical evidence suggests the transition from the Saturday Sabbath to Sunday in the early Christian church was due to pagan and political factors, and the overall decline of standards for the Sabbath day, possibly rooted in Anti-Semitism. It's no secret that the Catholic Church has been full of scandal and corruption throughout the centuries, so much so that the even the common man was even forbidden to read scripture. According to Socrates of Constantinople and Sozomen, most of the early Church (excluding Rome and Alexandria) observed the seventh day Sabbath; which is Saturday.
The Book of Exodus plainly states the importance and significance about this in the following verses:
"Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it." - Exodus 20:8-11
All Holy Scripture has layers and levels of interpretation, that's what makes it so interesting because no matter how many times you read it, there are always deeper levels of understanding that we can gain from it's text, especially if we go back to the original Hebrew and Greek. The most popular interpretations of the Book of Revelations have to do with the Catholic Church.
"And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters" - Revelation 17:1
"For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand." - Revelation 19:2
"And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration." - Revelation 17:6
"And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea." - Revelation 20:8
There is no other religious institution who could be described as being "drunken with the blood of the saints". The Catholic tradition of veneration is essentially the practice of praying to saints and is widely considered blasphemy by Lutherans and Protestants. The Catholic Church firmly denies these allegations, defending their practice of veneration as prayer to G*d through saints and not prayer to saints. It is not my goal to discredit or judge anyone's religious beliefs, however I firmly believe that this is something that needs to be addressed.
We are all familiar with Revelation 13:18, which states: "This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666." The Greek word for "Traditions" is παράδοσις (transliterated in English as Paradosis) and this word has a Gematria value of 666.
Make no mistake, their traditions are a deception.

So, do I believe that everyone who goes to church on Sunday will be subjected to harsh judgement for this? No, I do not. I know that there are lots of good Christians out there who have been raised into this deception and they simply do not know better; I was one of them myself. The Apostle Paul tells us that God will judge everyone based on the light that they were given in the following verses:
"For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel." - Romans - 2:12-16
That being said, I also understand "that ignorance to the law" doesn't necessarily constitute a valid defense. I know that when my time comes and I have to stand before the divine counsel for my final judgement, I want to greeted with love and acceptance and I'm sure that anyone reading this does as well. I'm no better than anyone else, as we are all sinners and no one is free from sin, it's human nature.
"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." - 1 John 1:8
When we gain a better understanding of The Word, we are expected to apply this understanding to our everyday lives and live better.
