This a is great video that explains the Hebrew Letter Shin ( ש ) in great detail. I've learned a good deal from Brother John Kostik's videos and I highly encourage you all to subscribe to his YouTube Channel and follow his work. Not only does he tell us many significant details regarding this most holy letter, he takes us through lots of scripture and shows us how it all ties together.
The Hebrew letter Shin ( ש ) is the 21st letter of the Hebrew Aleph Bet. As explained in this lesson, linked below, it has dual sounds, S and SH. Found on most every Mezuzah, letter specifically represents G*d Almighty ( El Shaddai - אל שדי ) and it means To Destroy/Consume or Fire.
"For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God." - Deuteronomy 4:24
"For our God is a consuming fire." - Hebrews 12:29
Notice the pictorial significance of this letter and how it resembles 3 flames. (21st letter - 2 + 1 = 3) It's not a huge stretch to tie this Most Holy Letter back to 37, as 3 x 7 = 21; so there's the 37 (or 73 when reversed).
