The Guilt Offering is The Guilt Itself

"Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand." - Isaiah 53:10

The Hebrew word that is translated here as "an offering for sin" is "Asham" ( אשם ). Modern translations render this word as "a guilt offering", interestingly enough, it is also one of the Hebrew words that is translated to "guilt" or "sin". So, not only is it the "guilt offering", it is also the "guilt" or "sin" itself.

This word "Asham" ( אשם ) is used several times in The Book of Leviticus as the "Trespass Offering":

"And he shall bring a ram without blemish out of the flock, with thy estimation, for a trespass offering ( לאשם ), unto the priest: and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his ignorance wherein he erred and wist it not, and it shall be forgiven him.

It is a trespass offering ( אשם ): he hath certainly trespassed against the LORD." - Leviticus 5:18-19

Here are a few examples of the word "Asham" ( אשם ) being used as the word for "Sin" or "Guilt":

"And Abimelech said, What is this thou hast done unto us? one of the people might lightly have lien with thy wife, and thou shouldest have brought guiltiness ( אשם ) upon us." - Genesis 26:10

"Fools make a mock at sin ( אשם ): but among the righteous there is favour." - Proverbs 14:9

"For Israel hath not been forsaken, nor Judah of his God, of the LORD of hosts; though their land was filled with sin ( אשם ) against the Holy One of Israel." - Jeremiah 51:5

From this we can understand that the offering for sin could only take away that sin by first becoming the sin. Thus, the idea of Yeshua becoming the sin that was nailed to the cross and offered up as the ultimate sacrifice for all of mankind is actually an ancient Hebraic idea.

The Numeric Value of "Asham" ( אשם ) is 341 - which is also the same Numeric Value as ( משא ) which means "Burden" - as in Our Sin became His Burden, and though He was Guiltless, He became the Guilt for each and everyone who believes in Him and in what He Done for us on that cross.

I find it very intersting indeed that the difference between The Numeric Value of "Asham" ( אשם ) 341 and "Yeshua" 386 ( ישוע ) is 45.

386 - 341 = 45

45 is The Numeric Value of "Adam" ( אדם ) - "Human Being" or "Mankind".

The Number 45 is a very significant number to the Jewish Rabbis as it is an expansion of the Tetragrammaton / The Most Holy Name of Our LORD ( יהוה ). This expansion is derived from spelling out these four letters, ( יהוה ) - Yud Hei Vav Hei - as such:

Yud ( י ) spelled out as Yud/Vav/Dalet ( יוד ) has a Total Numeric Value of 20

Hei ( ה ) spelled out as Hei/Aleph ( הא ) has a Total Numeric Value of 6

Vav ( ו ) spelled out as Vav/Aleph/Vav ( ואו) has a Total Numeric Value of 13

Hei ( ה ) spelled out as Hei/Aleph ( הא ) has a Total Numeric Value of 6

20 + 6 + 13 + 6 = 45

"For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." - 2 Corinthians 5:21

I have seen many Jewish Rabbis ague that the main fault of a Christian is to rely of G*d to do everything for them, instead of the other way around, and that essentially Christians hide behind "Grace" instead of doing what is righteous in The Eyes of Our Creator. I would strongly argue to them that the idea of G*d's Grace didn't start with Yeshua, but Grace was given to the Jewish People through the Levitical Sacrificial System, that allowed their Guilt to become The Guilt Offering itself.

If one could have eyes to see this and could perceive it all as such, they would know that The New Covenant is truly modeled after The Torah. We must sincerely pray for the scales to be removed from their eyes, so that they can see.
