The Way of The Fool (Proverbs 12:15)

I just wanted to make a short post that will hopefully display a bit of the depth of the Earthly and Heavenly Wisdom that was given to King Solomon, through The Holy Spirt. I humbly pray that everyone who stumbles upon these words will receive Supernal Chochmah and Binah (Wisdom and Understanding) through The Grace of Most High Heavenly Father, in The Most Precious Name of His Son, Our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ - B'Shem Yeshua HaMashicah, Amen V'AMEN!

“The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, But a person who listens to advice is wise.” - Proverbs 12:15

Needless to say, the surface level of this Proverb makes complete sense, one could even call it “common sense” - unfortunately that is not so common these days - yet, I digress…

As I was studying this verse, the Hebrew word translated as “Fool” immediately jumped out at me, as that word in Hebrew is “Eveel” ( אויל ) - Aleph Vav Yod Lamed.

Technically, the Hebrew letter Aleph ( א ) is one of the two Silent Hebrew Letters, the other is with Ayin ( ע ). Despite being silent, in the Hebrew Language these two letters are most often paired with a Nikkud, designating a vowel sound. The letter Aleph ( א ) is most often expressed as an “A” or an “E” vowel sound - “A” as in “Abraham” ( אברהם ) or “E” as in “Elohim” ( אלהים ).

So, phonetically the Word “Eveel” ( אויל ) - Aleph Vav Yod Lamed - would be spelled E V I L , which speaks volumes. I urge you to go back and read The Book of Judges, chapter after of chapter of miserable failures from the dark days when “every man did that what was right in his own eyes” and count the times that “the sons of Israel done what was evil in the sight of the LORD.”

The term “evil” doesn’t really apply to our modern definition of a “Fool” which is simply a person who “lacks good sense or judgment” as this lacking could be out of ignorance.

However, most often The Bible describes a “Fool” as someone who denies The Existence of Our Almighty Creator, defining their own “truths” and making up their own rules along the way. This is not a description of the folly of an ignorant man but rather the intentions of a lost soul who has chosen to be led by darkness. It was a bit overwealming when I looked up how many verses that contained the word "Fool." That says a lot about mankind in general, as foolishness is definitele somehing we are all of us is guilty of in one way or another. I often describe The Bible as a Mirror, in the sense it reveals to our true selves, exposes us our own ugliness and ultimately convicts us of our own faults which prompts us to turn to a Higher Power.

“To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.” - Psalm 14:1

“To the chief Musician upon Mahalath, Maschil, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.” - Psalm 53:1

Of course, I had to go to the Numbers on this one, as they usually reveal something profound. It seems as if Our LORD has Divinely Encoded Numbers within these two precious words that reveal how The Way of The Fool makes a man a Prisoner of Sin and Death.

One could say that a man’s foolish ways keeps him in bondage, the kind of bondage that leads to death. There is only one solution...I pray that you seek His Face.

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” - John 14:6
