I was taught about the power of this Psalm from an older gentlemen who told me that he had learned it from a guy who narrowly escaped World War II, by keeping this Psalm on him at all times and reciting it every day. His entire company was killed in Europe but he came home without a scratch. Since then, I heard the story of a community that was absolutely decimated by a severe tornado. Several people were killed and there was only one house standing firm in the midst of all that rubble. Evidently someone had framed Psalm 91, which was hanging on a wall in the house. The world needs this type of spiritual protection now more than ever.
As usual, what I thought would be a relatively short and straight-forward post regarding a Psalm with only 18 verses, has evolved into something much more. I figured that I would quickly scan through The Zohar, to see what is said about Tehilim 91 (Psalm 91). First of all, there is no way to "quickly scan" The Zohar, I should have known better. Needless to say, I have been absolutely overwhelmed by how many times this Psalm is mentioned in so many volumes, with so many mystical interpretations on so many deep levels.
Of course, it's taken me days to read all of them and to gain understanding of the context as much as possible. I'm not complaining whatsoever and ultimately I am extremely thankful that I was led to dive into this Psalm. All of it has given me a special clarity and continues to bring me closer to HaShem. The more I learn, the more I share and ultimately the closer we all get and it's all such an enormous blessing.

Rashi's Comentary on Fourteen of the Verses in Psalm 91:
Verse One:
"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."
He who dwells in the covert of the Most High:
He who takes shelter in the covert of the wings of the Shechinahhe will lodge in His shadow, for the Holy One, blessed be He, protects him. Moses, our teacher, hereby persuades people to take shelter in the wings of the Shechinah.
the Almighty: Heb. שדי, an expression of strength. “He who dwells in the covert of the Most High” is like (Song 2:3): “in His shadow I desired and sat.”
Verse Two:
"I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust."
I shall say of the Lord [that He is] my shelter and my fortress: and all will learn from me. Now why do I say this?
Verse Three:
"Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence."
For He will save you from the snare that traps, etc.: To everyone he says, “He who dwells in the covert of the Most High.”
Verse Four:
"With His wing He will cover you, and under His wings you will take refuge; His truth is an encompassing shield."
With His wing He will cover… you will take refuge: You will be covered.
an encompassing shield: Heb. צנה וסחרה. This is a shield that encompasses a man closely on his four sides. וסֹחֵרָה is an expression of סְחוֹר סְחוֹר, around.
Verse Five:
"You will not fear the fright of night, the arrow that flies by day;"
You will not fear: if you trust in Him.
the arrow that flies by day: the demon that flies like an arrow.
Verse Six:
"Pestilence that prowls in darkness, destruction that ravages at noon."
Pestilence, etc., destruction: These are names of demons; one destroys at night, and one destroys at noon.
ravages: Heb. יָשוּד, [equivalent to] יְשוֹדֵד (will rob?)
Verse Seven:
"A thousand will be stationed at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not approach you."
A thousand will be stationed at your side: Heb. יפל, an expression of encamping, as (Gen. 25:18): “before the face of all his brothers did he settle (נפל).”
at your side: At your left a thousand demons will be stationed, and they will not approach you to harm [you].
Verse Eight:
"You will but gaze with your eyes, and you will see the annihilation of the wicked."
and… the annihilation: Heb. ושלמת, complete destruction. And why?
Verse Nine:
"For you [said], "The Lord is my refuge"; the Most High you made your dwelling."
For you: You said, “The Lord is my refuge.” This is an elliptical verse.
the Most High you made your dwelling: You made the Holy One, blessed be He, the seat of your trust.
Verse Ten:
"No harm will befall you, nor will a plague draw near to your tent."
No… will befall: Heb. לא תאנה, will not happen. Similarly, (Exod. 21:13): “and God allowed it to happen (אנה) to his hand.”
Verse Twelve:
"On [their] hands they will bear you, lest your foot stumble on a stone,"
lest… stumble: Heb. תגף, lest it [your foot] stumble, and so every expression of נְגִפָה, acupir, azoper, to hit, strike against.
While studying this Psalm in depth, one word in verse 13 caught my attention: Pethen ( פֶתֶן ) - Strongs Number 6620. The literal translation of this Hebrew word is a "poisonous serpent" and the KJV translates this word as an "adder". Evidently an "adder" is a common European venomous viper, which would have made more sense, given the British nature of the translators in 1611. I figure that a more accurate translation would be a cobra, which is more indigenous to the middle eastern region of the the world.
Below are excerpts from some of the more illumining works that I have found regarding this Extremely Powerful Psalm. I have done my best to keep all of this as clear and concise as possible, but like everything else I do, I often digress and go into several different directions...but it all has a purpose, so please bear with me on this and try to follow it all as best you can. Of course, if anyone has any questions, or if I can elaborate more on anything, please leave me a comment below or message me and I will get back with you as soon possible. I always appreciate any and all feedback on my posts. I put a lot of work into this site, and although I do benefit personally from recording all of this to look back on later, but ultimately I do it all to serve HaShem. If I can bring just one other person a little closer to G*d through my work, then it's worth every bit of that time and then some. In today's busy world, we often overlook the magnitude of the blessings that we receive each day. Every single breath that we take is a blessing, quite literally. When you begin to view life on that scale, you begin to understand that how no matter how hard we try, we can truly never do enough for G*d...so we should all try to do more and more each and every day. Loving and caring for one another makes us more like Our Heavenly Father and enables Him to be in our lives more and more. It's all for His Glory, I'm nothing without Him.
The following is a quote from the 13th century book, "Gates of Light-Sha'arei Orah", written by Rabbi Joseph Gikatila (1248- c. 1310 CE). Gikatila is said to be the most successful student of Abraham Abulafia, who is well known for his highly systemic approach to Kabbalah.
I definitely consider Sha'arei Orah a true gem among my ever growing library of sacred texts. In the quotation below, Gikatila refers to Psalm 91 as "the Psalm of Demons", which sounds a bit misleading as to the meaning he is conveying in the original Hebrew. By calling it "The Psalm of Demons", he is referring to the spiritual power that this particular Psalm has over demons. So in a sense, it's just what he says, but I personally would have referred to it The Psalm to Destroy Demons, which is exactly what it is, as it renders them powerless against us; however, as I proceeded with the deeper study of this Psalm, I found another reason why "The Psalm of Demons" was used in this passage. Keep reading for details.
"Our Sages aroused us with this rule: "The kingdom of earth is the same as the kingdom of heaven." And if a person must be this careful for a king of flesh and blood, he should be even more concerned when he enters the portals of the King of Kings, the Holy One, Blessed be He. For a man must be aware that there are no open places from the earth to the heavens; every place is filled with legions and hordes. Some are full of mercy and loving-kindness. Others beneath them are impure creatures who seek to detract and do harm;
some are stationary and others fly in the air. And there is no open space between the earth and the heavens because every place is crowded with them. Some are for peace and some are for war, some warrant good and others evil. some are for life and others death. This understanding is the subject of the Psalm of Demons:
O you who dwell in the shelter of the most high and abide in the protection of SHaDaY - I say of the YHVH, my refuge and stronghold, my God in whom I trust, that he will save you from the fowler's trap, from the destructive plague. He will cover you with his pinions; you will find refuge under his wings; His fidelity is an encircling shield. You need not fear the terror by night or the arrow that flies by day, the plague that stalks in the darkness . . . . (Psalm 91:1-4)
All these entities mentioned are gangs who dwell between heaven and earth. Thus, a person praying is just like someone travelling through perilous terrain; his prayer has to pass among these groups and then ascends to the heavens. If he is worthy, the robbers will not harm his prayers; and if he is not worthy, the destructive forces by the way will be numerous and formidable. Thus, King David, peace be with him, initiated the psalms to clear the way so the prayers could ascend unimpeded; for all these forces are like a cloud which prevents the ascension of prayer, and this is the meaning of the verse You have screened yourself off with a cloud, that no prayer may pass
through. (Lamentations 3:44)
When David, peace be with him, came and created the psalms it was for man who arranges the psalms in his prayers, thus dispersing the destructive, ruinous and disrupting forces."
From The Zohar, Bereshit B:
They all come from the left side and are invisible to the human eye. They stand in opposition to people so that they can harm them. They have three of the characteristics of the ministering angels and three features in common with people. As has been explained, THEY HAVE WINGS, FLY FROM ONE END OF THE WORLD TO THE OTHER, AND FORETELL THE FUTURE AS DO THE MINISTERING ANGELS. THEY EAT, DRINK, PROCREATE, AND DIE LIKE PEOPLE.
After their creation, these spirits are left behind the millstones of the chasm of the great abyss. When the sanctity of the Shabbat day has passed AFTER THE SHABBAT these incomplete SPIRITS come into the world and fly around in all directions. People should
beware of them. Then, once again, the entire left side reawakens and the flames of Gehenom blaze. All WHO COME from the left side float around the world; they want to clothe themselves with bodies, but they are unable to do so. At this time, people must protect themselves against them. Thus, the Sages prescribed the saying of the "Hymn for afflictions" (Tehilim 91), whenever one fears them in the world.
From The Zohar, Vayischlach:
"And Ya'akov sent messengers..." (Beresheet 32:4). Rabbi Yehuda began the discussion with the verse: "For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways" (Tehilim 91:11). This verse has already been explained by the friends. When man is born, the Evil Inclination enters with him and constantly denounces him, as it is written, "sin crouches at the door" (Beresheet 4:7). What is meant by "sin crouches"? It refers to the Evil Inclination. "...AT THE DOOR" MEANS AT THE OPENING OF THE WOMB--AT A PERSON'S BIRTH.
David also called THE EVIL INCLINATION BY THE NAME 'sin', as it is written, "and my sin is ever before me" (Tehilim 51:5). This is because it tempts man every day to sin before his Master. The Evil Inclination never leaves man, from the day of his birth. The Good Inclination comes to man only when he seeks purity.
When man seeks to be purified, the Evil Inclination is humbled before him, and the right rules over the left. And both--THE GOOD INCLINATION AND THE EVIL INCLINATION--watch over man whichever way he travels. This is the essence of the verse: "For He shall give His angels charge over you to keep you all your ways" (Tehilim 91:11).
Rabbi Yitzchak said: It is written, "The angel of Hashem encamps round about those who fear Him, and he delivers them" (Tehilim 34:8). This verse has already been explained. But in another place, it is written, "For He shall give His angels charge over you," NAMELY, many angels, whereas here ONLY one is mentioned, as it is written, "The angel of Hashem encamps." HE ANSWERS: The verse, "For He shall give His angels charge over you," refers to angels in general, but THE VERSE, "The angel of Hashem," refers to the Shechinah, as
it is written: "And the angel of Hashem appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush" (Shemot 3:2). JUST AS IT REFERS TO THE SHECHINAH IN THE FIRST VERSE, SO THE ANGEL MENTIONED HERE ALSO POINTS TO THE SHECHINAH. And so, "the angel of Hashem encamps round about those who fear Him," to encircle them in every direction so as to deliver them. And when the Shechinah resides inside man, all the holy hosts come there.
"And Ya'akov was left alone" (Beresheet 32:25). Rabbi Chiya opened the discussion with the verse: "No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling" (Tehilim 91:10). Come and behold: when the Holy One, blessed be He, created the world, He performed in each day the work appropriate for that day, as has been explained. It has been said that on the fourth day He created the lights, but the moon was created lacking, because it is a light that diminishes itself. For that reason, the word "lights" is spelled without the letter Vav, which leaves room for the spirits, demons, storm winds, devils, and all the Spirits of Defilement to exercise sway.
It is appointed over people and dwells among them. It uses witchcraft and stealth to turn them from the ways of the Holy One, blessed be He, just as it seduced Adam and brought death to the world. So does it seduce men and cause them to be defiled.
Whoever wishes to be defiled draws upon himself that Spirit of Defilement and cleaves to it. Numerous SPIRITS OF DEFILEMENT await to defile him and make him unclean. They corrupt him in this world and in the world to come, as has already been explained.
Come and behold: this verse clarifies the matter. It is written, "If there be an angel over him," which should be sufficient. Yet it continues, "an intercessor, one among a thousand." WE SHOULD THEREFORE FIND OUT who he is. HE SAID: This is the angel whose duty it is to be on the left side of man, as it is written:, "A thousand shall fall at your side" (Tehilim 91:7). We know this to be the left side from the following words, "and ten thousand at your right
hand," (Ibid.) WHICH MEANS THAT "AT YOUR SIDE," WHICH WAS WRITTEN EARLIER, REFERS TO THE LEFT SIDE.
Come and behold. HE ASKS: In the verse, "If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small" (Mishlei 24:10), what is the meaning of "you faint?" HE REPLIS: A man whose hands do not firmly hold on to the Holy One, blessed be He, to receive strength from Him. A man can be strengthened by stronger association with the Torah, for whoever is strengthened by the Torah holds more firmly to the Tree of Life, thereby giving power and strength to the
Congregation of Yisrael, THE SHECHINAH.
But if he relaxes his hold on the Torah, then he faints, and if he is faint in his hold on the Torah, then "in the day of adversity," his "strength is small." When trouble comes, he presses the Shechinah, which is the power of the world.
Another explanation of the phrase, "your strength is small," is that when a man is faint in his hold on the Torah and walks a crooked path, many enemies wait to oppress him in a day of
adversity. Even his own soul, his power and strength, become his foes and enemy. HE EXPLAINED THE WORDS, "YOUR STRENGTH IS SMALL (HEB. TZAR)," AS "YOUR STRENGTH IS AN ENEMY (HEB. TZAR)," WHICH REFERS TO HIS SOUL, WHICH REFLECTS A MAN'S STRENGTH.
Rabbi Aba said that when a man walks the path of the Torah and his ways are duly straight, many advocates stand ready to speak well of him. He opened the discussion with the verse: "If there be an angel over him, an intercessor, one among a thousand, to vouch for a man's uprightness, then He is gracious to him, and says: Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom" (Iyov 33:23- 24). We should study these verses carefully. Is not all revealed before the Holy One, blessed be He? Does He need an angel to announce before Him good and evil?
HE ANSWERS: ALTHOUGH HE KNOWS EVERYTHING, He surely requires AN ANGEL TO AROUSE MERCY, because when a man has good intercessors who remind the Holy One, blessed be He, of his merits, and no one who speaks of his sins, then "He is gracious to him, and says: Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom."
We know this to be the left side from the following words, "and ten thousand at your right hand," (Ibid.) WHICH MEANS THAT "AT YOUR SIDE," WHICH WAS WRITTEN EARLIER, REFERS TO THE LEFT SIDE.
The "one among a thousand" is the Evil Inclination, one of the thousand DEMONS of the left side. He ascends to receive permission TO COME DOWN AND KILL. But when a man walks the path of Righteousness, the Evil Inclination becomes his servant, as it is written: "Better is one lightly esteemed who owns a servant" (Mishlei 12:9). He then ascends and becomes his advocate, recalling his merits before the Holy One, blessed be He, and the Holy One, blessed be He, says: "Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom."
"...in the assembly of the upright..." refers to the children of Yisrael, WHO ARE CALLED 'UPRIGHT', BECAUSE all the grades are adorned through them, the priests and Levites, the Righteous and the pious, who are upright. "...in the congregation," has the same meaning as "stands in the congregation of El" (Tehilim 82:1). They are the mystery with which the Holy One, blessed be He, adorns Himself.
It therefore behooves a man to constantly praise the Holy One, blessed be He, because He desires songs and hymns. Whoever knows how to properly praise the Holy One, blessed be He, will find that He accepts his prayer and delivers him. This is the meaning of the verse: "I will set him on high, because he has known My name... with long life will I satisfy him" (Tehilim 91:14-16).
From The Zohar, Section Bo:
Before all this, four angels descended with him, as is written: "For He shall give His angels charge over you" (Tehilim 91:11). If he has ancestral merit, THEN one is Michael by the merit of Abraham, the second is Gavriel by the merit of Isaac, the third who descends with him is Nuriel by the merit of Jacob and the fourth is Refael by the merit of Adam. And the Good Inclination is above him.
If he has no merit, then four ANGELS OF DESTRUCTION accompany him: Sin, Destroyer, Anger and Fury. And the Evil Inclination is over them to judge him in the World to Come.
Therefore, they explained that a wicked person is judged by the Evil Inclination, a righteous person is judged by the Good Inclination and an average man is judged by both. Therefore, if he is an average person, both Gavriel, who is the Good Inclination, and Samael, the
Evil Inclination, judge him.
In section Beshalach (shown below), I found the following couple of passages that mentions Psalm 91 to be quite interesting and very Messianic. In this particular reading, Rabbi Shimon is essentially saying that the Righteous Believers, who follow The Torah, are referred to worlds above as "Songs". Like a great deal of The Zohar, the rest of this section can be difficult to understand, so I am basically quoting the verses that are relatively clear.
It's interesting to note that many people believe that one of the "two witnesses", referred to as the "two olive trees" in Revelation Chapter 11, could possibly be Moses (which is who this Zohar section alludes to as well). Of course, no one really knows this for sure, but the popular theories are Elijah, Enoch and Moses. Elijah and Enoch because technically never of them died, as they were taken up by HaShem, which holds some validity. Moses is also a good candidate as he actually appeared with Elijah during The Transfiguration, mentioned in Matthew Chapter 17.
"And He was transfigured before them; and His face shone like the sun, and His garments became as white as light.
And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him." - Matthew 17:2-3
From The Zohar, Section Beshalach:
"Hashem shall again, a second time stretch forth His hand to recover the remnant of His
people" (Yeshayah 11:11). "The remnant of His people" refers to the Righteous among them, who are called 'remnants (Heb. she'ar)' as is written: "And there remained two men in the camp" (Bemidbar 11:26). We learned why they are called remnants: it is because the
world exists only for the sake of those who make themselves into songs (Heb. shirim). THEREFORE, THE RIGHTEOUS ARE CALLED 'REMNANTS', DERIVED FROM 'SONGS'.
Therefore, we learned Moses will sing the song in the future to come. What is the reason? Because it is written: "As in the days of your coming out the land of Egypt, I will show him marvelous things" (Michah 7:15). HE ASKS: Should "I will show him" have been said 'I will show you'? HE ANSWERS: Rather, I will show the very one who saw originally, NAMELY MOSES, for he will see a second time, and this is the meaning of "I will show him." It is written: "I will show him the salvation of Elohim" (Tehilim 50:23), and, "show him My salvation" (Tehilim 91:16). And "Then shall sing Moses and the children of Yisrael to Hashem."
It is the song of the Queen, WHICH IS MALCHUT, to the Holy One, blessed be He. We learned that every person who says this song daily and has the proper intention merits to say it in the time to come. It contains the world that has passed, and it contains the World to Come, and it contains the bonds of Faith, and it contains the days of King Messiah. And all the other praises of those above and those below stir from it.
Numeric Perfection:
Psalm 91 consists of only 16 verses. Just from a numerical standpoint, 16 is very significant for a couple obvious reasons. First of all, 1 + 6 = 7 as we all know that seven is the number of physical perfection which can easily be observed throughout all of creation. The number 16 is 8 x 2. Both HaShem ( יהוה / YHVH = 26 when reduced is 2 + 6 = 8 ) and Jesus ( ישוע / Yeshua = 386 when reduced is 3+8+6=17 then 1+7=8 ) reduce to the number 8.
I've spoken about the significance of both the numbers 7 and 8 in several posts, so I won't go into too much detail there, but will refer you to the posts below for greater detail:
16 can also be expressed as 4 x 4; which reflects the 4 letters than both make up both of these sacred names ( יהוה ) and ( ישוע ).
It's as if it is pointing to the power of The Father and The Son. Even the very word in Psalm 91:16 contains the name of Yeshua, check this out:
Yeshua Hidden in Psalm 91!
As I was studying Psalm 91:16, I was enlightened to a whole new level of why this particular Psalm is so powerful, as it's literally hiding the phrase "My Child Yeshua".
With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation
אֹ֣רֶךְ יָ֖מִים אַשְׂבִּיעֵ֑הוּ וְ֜אַרְאֵ֗הוּ בִּישֽׁוּעָתִֽי
Using the approved ancient Jewish Rabbinic method called Temurah, the final word of this Psalm ( בישועתי ) - My Salvation - can very simply be rearranged, as Beti Yeshua ( בתי ישוע ), which literally means My Child Yeshua (Jesus). Thus, when rearranged, this verse reads: With long life will I satisfy him and show him My Child Yeshua (Jesus).
This gives a whole new meaning verse 14,
"Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name."
We are given the Power because We Know His Name!!!
*This is The Third Psalm that I've found Yeshua's name ( ישוע ) hidden in.*
Here are the other two:

If you look at Torah Scrolls and Biblical Hebrew Fonts, you will see that some of the letters have Tagin (or Crowns). There are only seven letters that have 3 pointed tagin. There is a huge back story as to why these seven letters have these 3 tagin but time doesn't permit me to share that information in this post.
From Chabad.com:
"The Talmud mentions the letters making up the mnemonic שעטנ”ז ג”ץ (ShATNeZ GaTz) have 3 tagin, or crowns, coming out of the top left of the letter. Additionally it is customary to make a single tag, or crown, on top of the letters making up the mnemonic בד”ק חי”ה (BeDek ChaYaH), as well as certain other specific letters and words that have tagin in specific places."
Without getting too deep into all of the mystical aspects of the Tagin; the Tagin (also called Zayins ( ז ) - represented by an Axe) are well known as Spiritual Weapons.
For the sake of this post, just know that Seven letters have Three Pointed Tagin and Five other letters have Single Point Tagin; while the other letters have none.
I was able to find a site where I could copy and paste every verse of Psalm 91 and it would automatically convert it to the Biblical Hebrew font with the Tagin. I actually counted up each of the "Zayins" which are visually represented as "Axes / Weapons" and of course the results were astounding. Now I have a deeper understanding why the Sages referred to this one as the "Psalm of Demons".
There is a total of 153 Single Pointed Tagin and 67 Triple Pointed Tagin; which gives us a total of 354 Tagin Points.
354 has the same numeric value as the following:
354 Total Tagin Points / Hebrew Words with Numeric Value of 354:
השליט = The Ruler
חמוש = Armed
מושבו = His Seat
וישלח = And Will Send
ובשמו = And In His Name
ויחלש = And Will Weaken
שדים = Demons
בבשן = In Bashan
נרצחו = Were Murdered
I think that we can make out a great deal from the words above that all have the numeric value of 354, without much explanation. One thing that jumped out at is the term "In Bashan" ( בבשן = In Bashan ). I have studied quite a bit about Bashan and was led to believe this place/term is closely related to demons.
Here is what we know about Bashan:
Bashan was conquered from King Og ( עוֹג ) by the Hebrews in the days of Moses. Og is said to have been one of the mysterious Rephaim ( רְפָאִים ), who were most likely some type of Giant (akin to the Nephilim), possibly some type human/fallen angel hybrids, which is a whole other post for another day.
Rephaim is the Hebrew term in the Bible that describes an ancient race of giants in Iron Age Israel, or the places where these individuals were thought to have lived. We are told that Og, the King of Bashan, seems to be one of the last survivors of the Rephaim. His bed was 9 cubits long; a cubit is defined as the length of a man's forearm, approximately 18 inches (460mm). When I think of Bashan, Psalm 22 instantly comes to mind. Perhaps The Most Messianic Psalm ever written was Psalm 22. This was the Psalm that Yeshua (Jesus) quoted while he was on the cross, as the first verse of this Psalm is "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"
Psalm 22 speaks of the "Bulls of Bashan":
12 - Many bulls encompass me;
strong bulls of Bashan surround me;
13 - they open wide their mouths at me,
like a ravening and roaring lion.
14- I am poured out like water,
and all my bones are out of joint;
my heart is like wax;
it is melted within my breast;
15 - my strength is dried up like a potsherd,
and my tongue sticks to my jaws;
you lay me in the dust of death.
16 - For dogs encompass me;
a company of evildoers encircles me;
they have pierced my hands and feet—
17 - I can count all my bones—
they stare and gloat over me;
18 - they divide my garments among them,
and for my clothing they cast lots.
Psalm 22:12-18
Please take into consideration that these "Bulls of Bashan" are not merely cows. I believe that they represent some type of demonic entities that were surrounding and tormenting Yeshua as he was dying on the cross for our sins. If so, they must have been having an absolute field day. I do my best not speculate much on my posts, but we cannot read study scripture and pretend that there is not an mystical aspect to it all. I really don't have much else to go on here, but I truly believe that there is something very dark about Bashan.
Paul tells us about spiritual battles that determine the outcome of this physical reality in his letter to the Ephesians. This is obviously something that we cannot begin to perceive, which makes us powerless against it on our own. Psalm 91 is one of most powerful tools that we've been blessed with. If there was ever any Psalm that I would memorize, it would be this one and declare it every single day.
"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.
In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one;
and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,
praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,
and also for me, that in the opening of my mouth, divine utterance may be given to me to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,
for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak." - Ephesians 6:12-20
