I rarely quote anything from The Apocryphal Books, as I don’t believe that they are totally inspired works, but I do find something interesting content in them from time to time. I ran across this one day in my studies and I wanted to share it nonetheless, as this is the one of the most obvious prophecies of Yashua ever written.
The Book of Wisdom, or the Wisdom of Solomon, is a Jewish work written in Greek. Although this particular book is considered to be canonical by Catholics, Eastern Orthodox and Oriental Orthodox; I don't believe that it has the same level of authority of the 66 Books that make Our Holy Bible. It is believed to have been written in the first century B.C. in Alexandria, possibly from older manuscripts. We know for a fact that it was written before Yeshua's birth, as it was in The Septuagint.
This book is much later than King Solomon and definitely wasn’t written by him, but it was definitely written before Yeshua’s birth, which makes this prophecy legie. Of course, I’m nothing special whatsoever, so I just wanted to present it and let you be the judge.
“Let us lie in wait for the righteous man, because he is inconvenient to us and opposes our actions; he reproaches us for sins against the law, and accuses us of sins against our training.
He professes to have knowledge of God, and calls himself a child of the Lord.
He became to us a reproof of our thoughts;
the very sight of him is a burden to us, because his manner of life is unlike that of others,and his ways are strange.
We are considered by him as something base, and he avoids our ways as unclean; he calls the last end of the righteous happy, and boasts that God is his father.
Let us see if his words are true,and let us test what will happen at the end of his life;
for if the righteous man is God’s son, he will help him,and will deliver him from the hand of his adversaries.
Let us test him with insult and torture,that we may find out how gentle he is,and make trial of his forbearance.
Let us condemn him to a shameful death,for, according to what he says, he will be protected.” - Wisdom of Solomon 2:12–20
