I ran across this video earlier and felt compelled to share it. The message being delivered here is extremely important.
Since I have stepped up and am now living for G*d, unfortunately I've had to thin out my circle of friends. I can't expect anyone to change their lives just because I had to, that would be very selfish of me and could ultimately bring me back to a self-serving existence and it's not about me, it's all about Our Heavenly Father. All I can do is reach out to them, plant a few seeds and hopefully help them grow. I still have nothing the purest love for them all, regardless of their views, they’re my beloved brothers and sisters. We all know who the people are that we definitely need to avoid in our lives, however the adversary will do his best to work through people that we love and trust. He is the one who causes divisions in families…and I know we can all relate to that.
The closer I get to G*d, the further away I feel from the outside world. This took some serious getting used to. They don't refer to the devil as "the lord of this world" for no reason, he is very powerful in this physical reality and everyday there are millions of people doing his will, without even being conscious of it. Among many other things, he has the ability to give us short spurts of physical pleasure (as opposed to the spiritual, which he convinces us doesn’t exist) without us ever even being aware of his existence. It’s his job. If you live for The Father, he will begin to elevate your perception and will help you identify the dangers out there. We must always be alert and keep our guard up at times, because when we don't, that's when darkness strikes. It lurks to the left of us and to the right of us, at all times. The Book of Genesis tells us that "the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the LORD God had made", so we must never underestimate the power of the opposition. Sometimes the dangerous people are the ones closest to you, it's all part of his crafty deception. Peter warns us about this in the following verse:
"Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour." - 1 Peter 5:8
The Scriptures warn us about people like this many times, here are just a few examples:
"I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock;" - Acts 20:29
"Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture." - Psalm 100:3
"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?" - Matthew 7:15-16
"I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive." - Romans 16:17-18
"See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ." - Colossians 2:8
The information covered in this video may seem like common sense to a lot of us, but I'm sure that someone out there needs to hear this today, especially new believers of the faith, as they can be the most vulnerable to negative spiritual attacks.
Also, just look around, common sense is not so common these days.
Make no mistake, the darkness is extremely powerful down here, but it is no match for The Light. The Light extinguishes darkness and the forces of evil are absolutely terrified of it. Arm yourself with The Word at all times!
